Earrings. Group 2. Sterling and Silver-tone.
It’s extremely difficult to photograph metal jewelry, especially “polished” (shiny) pieces because of reflections. It’s also difficult to capture the true color of sterling silver. That said, you can get an idea of the size, style, shape, and texture.
You’ll notice that some are from Avon. I found matches in the book on identifying Avon jewelry that I purchased, the rest I found on-line. Avon marks their pierced earrings on the post clutch. Unfortunately, some of the clutches were missing or had been replaced by clutches from other earrings. Jewelry designers sometimes have their markings on the post (imagine trying to read those). Prices shown for Avon earrings are based on the Avon book, which is based on their original selling price in the Avon campaign books. So, you would be getting a deal because of inflation. On-line sellers list them for more or less than that price. I am selling all the earrings at half price. Mom sold Avon and purchased items for every campaign book to show her customers, consequently, many of the earrings were never even worn.
Notes. All Sterling earrings have been polished or cleaned by dipping in a solution specifically for Sterling jewelry and have an anti-tarnish tab in the baggie - all have Sterling clutches. I understand the love of Sterling, the sparkle is stunning - especially after dipping them (FYI, only for seconds). At Jewelry Revival Parties I will demonstrate. A test for Sterling is polishing, it leaves a black mark on the cloth.
Group 1. Earrings dipped in Sterling cleaner. Row 1, 1st two - stunning. Row 2, 1st one (because they were discolored, I had mistaken them for gold-tone, until I saw them next to other gold-tone earrings). Clip Earrings. Row 3, 1st two. Color notes. Group 1. All Sterling matching the 1st pair in Row 1 - variations in the color are caused by reflections / lighting. Row 3, 1st pair have gold in the sculpted grooves.
Group 2. Earrings dipped in Sterling cleaner. Row 1, last pair. Clip Earrings. Row 2, last pair (Sarah Coventry). Color notes. All Sterling matches the 1st pair in Group 1 - variations in the color are caused by reflections / lighting.
