Unfortunately, the cleaner removed some of the shine from the Mother of Pearl stone. I should have only dipped the sterling beads.

Unfortunately, the cleaner removed some of the shine from the Mother of Pearl stone. I should have only dipped the sterling beads. I rubbed the Mother of Pearl with a bit of extra virgin olive oil, which restored some of the shine. When worn it reflects light and is still very attractive. It would make a perfect "first" semi-precious stone gift for a young girl.

925 Sterling Purple Jade and Amethyst Choker. 18” (locking clasp). Value $388. Discounted $288. My Price $144. The photo is dark but it represents the true color of the Purple Jade. I noticed one of the stones in the front (left side of the center Amethyst) had some whitish areas, so I cleaned it with Dawn dish soap. Unfortunately, though it removed what appears to have been on the surface, the stone itself seems to have been affected. That is why I discounted the Value price. A jeweler could exchange it with one in the back of the necklace. Cleaning restored the shine to the Sterling and Amethyst.
