The history of the American jewelry brand Nicky Butler began over twenty years ago, in 1998. However, Nicky Butler himself was already a world famous designer before moving to the United States. Starting in the late 1960s as antique jewelry trader, in partnership with Simon Wilson, they opened their first boutique in London in 1972. Thanks to their designer and businessman talents, in ten years, Butler & Wilson became international. Also, successful advertising and attraction of celebrities contributed to the success of the company.

In the late 1980s, the famous designers no longer worked together, and Butler moved to the United States. Butler launched his own brand Nicky Butler in Los Angeles, California in 1998. Then followed the renewed “NB Nicky Butler” in Miami Beach, Florida, in 2008.

Noteworthy, Nicky Butler jewelry is produced in many countries of the world, including the USA, France and India. Accordingly, the marking includes “NB” and “Made in France”, or India, etc. Traditionally, the company’s craftsmen use semi-precious stones, silver and gilding, creating exquisite jewelry worthy of museums.

Another one of Mom's necklaces. The designer is Amy Kahn Russell. I Googled, Amy Kahn Russell lavender freshwater pearl necklace. Nothing like it. I found a few freshwater pearl necklaces designed by her that were similar selling from $198 to $280. I have a confession to make. I came across the necklace in a tote of Mom's jewelry that I was going to take apart. It's a little "over the top" for my taste (it's also a very heavy piece). I think the small pearls and the faceted stones (I think they are quartz) would make beautiful necklaces (individually). I don't know what to think of the "spikes".
